Post payments and keep patient accounts up to date Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection strategies while maintaining compliance with payer policies. Maintain detailed and organized medical records, ensuring all documentation supports the coded diagnoses and procedures. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation or resolve discrepancies that impact billing accuracy. Stay current with updates in medical terminology, coding guidelines, and healthcare regulations to ensure ongoing compliance. Assist in auditing coding practices to improve accuracy and optimize revenue cycle performance. Skills Proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT coding. Strong knowledge of medical billing processes and medical collection techniques. Experience working with EMR systems for documentation and claim submission. Excellent understanding of medical terminology and medical records management. Familiarity with healthcare regulations related to coding, billing, and reimbursement standards.
