Job Description
Olympic Pharmacy and Healthcare Services is seeking a full-time Billing Coordinator to join our team in Gig Harbor, WA. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in medical billing and insurance claims processing. This role requires accuracy, efficiency, and excellent communication while working with patients, insurance providers, and internal departments. Pay $20.00-$25.00 per hour Schedule Full-time Monday-Friday 9:00 AM-5:30 PM In-person (Gig Harbor, WA) About Us Olympic Pharmacy and Healthcare Services provides a comprehensive range of healthcare products and services, including durable medical equipment (DME), respiratory equipment, ostomy and urological supplies, enteral nutrition, pharmacy services, rehabilitation services, equipment repair, home delivery, medication synchronization, customized medication packaging, and compounding services. Responsibilities Review sales orders and invoices for accurate coding, charges, co-pays, and documentation prior to billing. Submit claims to commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid. Post insurance payments and reconcile patient accounts. Follow up on pending and denied claims. Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and other parties regarding outstanding balances. Maintain billing documentation and scan Explanation of Benefits (EOBs). Assist with audits, batching, and additional administrative projects. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations. Contribute to a positive, professional team environment. Preferred Qualifications Degree or certification in Medical Billing and Coding. Two or more years of medical billing experience. Experience with Brightree or other electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Knowledge of ICD-10 coding. Experience billing commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid. Understanding of insurance verification and authorization processes. Knowledge of HIPAA, FDA, Medicare, Medicaid, and accreditation requirements.\ Education High school or equivalent (Required) Experience Medical billing: 2 years (Preferred) Accounts receivable: 2 years (Preferred)
