Summary "We are seeking a dedicated Prior Authorization Representative to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our patients receive timely and appropriate care by managing insurance authorizations and verifying coverage. Your contributions will directly support our commitment to providing high-quality orthopedic services to our community." Responsibilities Manage prior authorization requests for various orthopedic procedures. Verify insurance coverage and benefits for patients. Communicate effectively with insurance companies and healthcare providers. Maintain accurate records of authorization requests and outcomes. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations throughout the authorization process. Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate patient care. Provide excellent customer service to patients regarding their insurance inquiries. Stay updated on changes in insurance policies and coding requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred. Proven experience in managed care or medical office settings. Strong knowledge of CPT and ICD coding systems. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
