Job Description

Job Summary Only evaluating candidates from Doctors offices or clinics, will not consider candidates with home health or hospital experience. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant Clinical to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of clinical procedures, patient care, and medical support functions within diverse medical settings. As a Medical Assistant Clinical, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and high-quality clinical services across outpatient, inpatient, and specialized care environments such as dermatology, emergency medicine, and hospital medicine. Your expertise will contribute to delivering compassionate patient care while supporting healthcare providers in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate to support clinical assessments. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort. Support diagnostic procedures including X-ray operations and basic laboratory tests as required. Administer medications and injections following established protocols and safety standards. Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) systems by documenting patient interactions, test results, and treatment plans precisely. Assist with medical-surgical procedures, including wound care and dressing changes in outpatient or inpatient settings. Do patient referrals and Prior Authorizations for Medicines Qualifications Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and medication administration protocols. Strong understanding of EHR systems for accurate documentation and data management. Must be able to do referrals and preauthrizations! Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse populations. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments such as emergency departments or hospital wards while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards. Pay:
$16.00 - $19.00 per hour
