Are you organized, enthusiastic, highly motivated, and enjoy the challenge of providing quality customer service? Under the direction of the Manager I, the Motor Vehicle Assistant (MVA) performs a variety of mail processing activities for Vehicle Registration, Driver License, and Automated Billing Information Services (ABIS) work through the Remittance system. In addition, the MVA scans and batches mail; processes non-remittance mail including incoming mail receipts; and operates specialized equipment, such as OPEX MPS40 and the Eagle and Falcon-RED scanners. The MVA opens, reviews, and processes incoming mail as required using manual methods. Utilizes a personal computer to assist in processing Quick Key or assist keying in the Record Updates Section and performs other duties as required. The Motor Vehicle Representative (MVR) employment list will be used as an appropriate list to fill this position. List eligibles on the MVR employment list may apply for this position. If the selected candidate is on the MVR employment list, they will be hired in the classification of Motor Vehicle Assistant and will maintain their eligibility on the MVR employment list.
