Position/Salary and Benefits :
Trial Court Clerk III, Grade 21, $20.19, at six months $20.71, then at one year with satisfactory performance $22.25 Kansas Judicial Branch Benefits State Employment Center - Benefits (ks.gov) Internal candidates will be considered first.
Job Duties:
This assistant supervisor's position works with the public and other outside agencies. They are to maintain proper supervision in the absence of the supervisor. Duties may include but are not limited to employee training; providing guidance and information to staff; handling case flow management measures in a timely manner; entering case information by computer; answering phones and handling requests for information; and working with the public in routine and difficult situations; and other job duties as required. Work is performed under the general supervision of a higher-level court clerk or a Clerk of the District Court and is reviewed through conferences and reports. May perform other related work as required or assigned and must be able to work well with the public and staff.
Required education and experience:
High school diploma or a GED certificate. Previous office experience preferred.
Additional desired abilities:
Knowledge of modern office management practices and procedures. Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions. Ability to understand court procedures and policies. Skills in operating office equipment. Must be able to work with some degree of independence and responsibility. Must have good customer service skills. Maintain confidentiality.
