Office Manager Chico, CA 95926 $19.90 - $21.75 an hour - Part-time $19.90 - $21.75 an hour - Part-time About Us Wildflower Open Classroom is a dynamic, student-centered school committed to fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. We value strong relationships with students, families, and staff, and we are seeking an organized, proactive Office Manager to help support our daily operations. Position Summary The School Office Manager is a key member of our administrative team, responsible for overseeing front office operations and supporting a wide range of school functions. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Office Operations & Clerical Support:
Manage front office activities, communications, scheduling, recordkeeping, and general administrative support
Procurement & Inventory:
Coordinate purchasing, track supplies, and maintain vendor relationships
Facilities Coordination:
Support maintenance requests, campus needs, and coordination with service providers
Payroll & Financial Support:
Assist with payroll processing, basic bookkeeping, and financial tracking in coordination with administration
Technology Support:
Provide basic troubleshooting, coordinate with IT providers, and support staff with day-to-day technology needs
Family & Community Engagement:
Serve as a welcoming point of contact for parents and visitors; support communication between school and families
Event Coordination:
Assist in planning and executing school events, meetings, and activities
Student Support:
Interact positively with students and assist with basic needs, supervision, and office-related support Qualifications Experience in office management, school administration, or a related field preferred Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency with office software and willingness to learn new systems Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Experience in a school setting is a plus Preferred Attributes Flexible, solution-oriented mindset Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and follow-through Commitment to a positive school culture and community Compensation Wages and benefits are competitive and based on experience.
