We are seeking an experienced, organized, and proactive HR / Office Manager to support our fast-paced healthcare environment. Position Summary The HR / Office Manager will oversee daily HR and office administration, serving as a key resource for employees, managers, and leadership. This hands-on role includes recruitment, onboarding, employee records, payroll and benefits coordination, office operations, and workplace compliance. Key Responsibilities Human Resources Manage day-to-day HR activities and serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers. Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files and HR records. Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation, transfers, and offboarding. Prepare employment documentation, offer letters, personnel changes, and other HR communications. Manage and maintain the employee handbook, HR policies, and procedures. Support employee relations matters and assist managers with performance issues and corrective actions. Coordinate annual performance reviews and employee development activities. Monitor attendance, leave requests, and other employee-related matters. Maintain employee confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information. Ensure HR practices are consistent with applicable federal and California employment requirements. Assist leadership with HR projects, organizational changes, and employee engagement initiatives. Recruitment & Staffing Coordinate full-cycle recruitment for pharmacy. Post job openings and managing candidate communications. Screen resumes and coordinate interviews with hiring managers. Prepare employment offers and coordinate pre-employment requirements. Support background checks, employment verification, and other onboarding requirements. Develop strategies to improve employee retention and strengthen the employee experience. Payroll & Benefits Administration Coordinate with payroll providers and finance to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Review employee information, timesheets, PTO, and other payroll-related data. Assist employees with payroll and benefits questions. Coordinate benefits enrollment, changes, and employee communications. Maintain accurate benefit and employee eligibility records. Office Management Oversee daily administrative operations. Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming office environment. Coordinate office supplies, equipment, vendors, and general administrative services. Coordinate maintenance, repairs, building access, and other facility-related needs. Establish and maintain efficient administrative procedures. Support company meetings, events, employee activities, and internal communications. Coordinate with department managers to address operational and administrative needs. Compliance & Workplace Administration Maintain required employment records and documentation. Coordinate required employee training and certifications as applicable. Assist with workers' compensation and workplace incident documentation. Support regulatory, insurance, and internal audits involving HR or administrative records. Help ensure company policies are communicated and consistently followed. Maintain strict confidentiality of employee, business, and patient-related information. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of progressive HR in a company with 70+ employees, 2-3 years of office management Previous healthcare, pharmacy, home infusion, or medical-office experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of HR administration and California employment practices. Experience with employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and performance management. Working knowledge of payroll and benefits administration. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership and department managers. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or other HR certification is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
$80,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
