Established cataract and corneal refractive practice seeking dynamic and highly organized individuals to fill a full-time Lead Tech/ Operations Manager position. This hybrid role in ophthalmic practice management involves both ophthalmic assisting and operation management duties. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in healthcare management, medical staff support, and ophthalmic assisting. Active Certified Ophthalmic Assistant/ Technician (COA/ COT) or Certified Ophthalmic Executive (COE) is required; having both is preferred. The position reports to the Chief Administrative Officer and collaborates on strategic planning and implementation. Duties Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient workflow and patient care. Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and MIPS quality standards. Implement process improvements and SOPs to enhance safety, efficiency, and costs. Prepare monthly financial reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Qualifications Prior Lead or Trainer for ophthalmic operations. Proven medical office management within ophthalmology or a multispecialty medical practice setting. Strong background in fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, and revenue cycle management. Extensive knowledge of EMR and PM systems with proficiency in managing databases. Supervisory experience leading administrative or clinical teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Demonstrated ability to manage office operations effectively while maintaining excellent patient service standards. Excellent organizational skills combined with strong communication abilities to foster teamwork and operational excellence.
