- Full-time Children's Home Society of California (CHS) is a multi-service, non-profit agency providing Early Learning and Education Programs in multiple counties in California.

This is a Full-Time, Exempt Position Under the supervision of Children's Home Society of California's (CHS) Office Administrator, the Office Manager will:- Oversee the daily administrative operations of two office locations, Orange and Long Beach, and provide occasional support and back-up to other CHS offices
- Ensure offices are maintained in a professional, organized, safe, and efficient manner
- Manage office supply inventory, equipment maintenance, and vendor relationships for both offices
- Serve as the primary point of contact for office-related issues, including facilities, technology coordination, and operational concerns
- Support leadership with administrative projects, reporting, scheduling, and office coordination
- Assist with onboarding logistics for new employees, including workspace setup, office orientation, and supply coordination
- Coordinate and monitor office calendars, meeting space usage, and office events as needed
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, confidentiality standards, and workplace procedures
- Maintain organized office files, records, and administrative documentation
- Assist in developing and implementing office procedures to support consistency between both locations
- Provide support with communication and coordination between departments and office locations
- Monitor and address office maintenance needs, coordinating repairs, and service requests as necessary
- Support special projects, organizational initiatives, and operational priorities as assigned
- Work some evening and weekend hours as required and may require travel to other CHS offices
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma plus five (5) years of experience required
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and operational priorities simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to adapt to changing operational needs and priorities.
- Demonstrated leadership, professionalism, and initiative
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to assembly office furniture, equipment, and workspace materials
- Ability to prepare and present effective written work, provide strong attention to detail, and produce error-free work
- Proactive professional with a strong work ethic and an ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment
- Commitment to CHS's core mission and values, and an ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners
- Excellent ability to communicate effectively, respectfully, and transparently with all levels of staff
- Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to travel via air and surface transportation, including travel between multiple offices
SALARY SCALE
Entry level pay for this position is $1,404.00 per week; the full pay scale is $1,404.00 to $1,642.49 per week. Advancement on pay scale is based on qualifications, such as experience and education, and eventual job performance. Excellent benefits are provided including 100% employer paid medical, dental, and vision premium coverage for eligible employees and their eligible dependents and 10% pension plan contribution for eligible employees.
