Job Description

Looking for an Office Manager for our ever-growing 5-Star agency. We offer excellent compensation and full benefits. We foster a supportive leadership and work-life balance. We are the only locally owned and operated home health agency in our area, and we have been awarded Best of the North State 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2023. As the Office Manager, you will oversee the daily administrative, human resources, payroll, accounting support, and technology functions of the organization. This role serves as a key operational leader, ensuring efficient office operations, compliance with employment regulations, accurate financial processing, and support for company growth and employee engagement.
Essential Duties:
Human Resources & Employee Relations Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes. Administer employee benefits and assist with enrollment changes. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Coordinate employee training, performance review processes, and policy updates. Serve as a resource for employee questions and workplace concerns. Employee credential tracking Compiles mandatory annual reports Recruitment & Staffing Coordinate recruiting efforts, including job postings, applicant screening, interview scheduling, and reference checks. Work with department managers to identify staffing needs. Maintain applicant tracking and hiring documentation. Assist with employee orientation and onboarding. Workers' Compensation & Risk Management Manage workers' compensation claims from injury reporting through claim resolution. Coordinate with insurance carriers, medical providers, and employees. Maintain OSHA and workplace safety records as required. Assist with safety programs and employee injury prevention initiatives. Payroll Administration Process payroll accurately and timely. Cross trained to manage timekeeping systems and payroll reporting. Cross trained to coordinate payroll tax filings and deductions with payroll providers. Ensure compliance with wage and hour regulations. Accounts Payable Review and process vendor invoices. Maintain vendor records and W-9 documentation. Cross trained to prepare and process payments. Accounting Support Assist with Accounts Receivables processing Technology & Office Operations Serve as the secondary liaison for IT vendors and technology support providers. Manage office equipment, software subscriptions, and user access. Coordinate cybersecurity and data security compliance efforts. Oversee office supplies, facilities management, and vendor relationships. In collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer implement process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, or related field preferred. 5+ years of office management, HR, payroll, or accounting experience. Strong knowledge of employment laws, payroll practices, and accounting principles. Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
