20 hours per week + Company Overview Camlam Farms, Inc. is a third-generation, family-owned farming operation in Ventura County with roots dating back to the 1870s. We grow avocados, lemons, and mandarins and are seeking a detail-oriented, trustworthy professional to support our financial and administrative operations. Position Summary The Bookkeeper/Office Manager oversees day-to-day accounting, payroll, HR administration, and general office operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. Key Responsibilities Bookkeeping & Accounting Maintain financial records in QuickBooks across multiple entities Manage accounts payable and receivable Reconcile bank accounts, journal entries, fixed assets, and general ledger Prepare month-end and year-end close Track cash balances and generate financial reports as needed Support annual tax preparation Reconcile harvest/packout reports with vendor and packing house records Payroll Administration Process semi-monthly and off-cycle payroll Audit timecards; track overtime, vacation, and sick leave Manage employee payroll updates (direct deposit, withholdings, etc.) Reconcile payroll to general ledger Support quarterly and annual filings (W-2, 943, 940) Assist with 401(k) and Workers' Compensation audits HR & Office Administration Support onboarding, employee records, and compliance documentation Administer benefits enrollment and updates Maintain training records and labor law postings Enter monthly Pesticide Use Reports Assist with agricultural data tracking (soil, fertilization, harvest reports) Manage mail, supplies, filing, and general office organization Provide responsive, professional support to employees and ownership Qualifications 3+ years of bookkeeping and payroll experience Strong knowledge of accounting principles and payroll compliance Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (intermediate+) High attention to detail and accuracy Organized, self-motivated, and able to handle confidential information Strong written and verbal communication skills Farming or agricultural experience a plus Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
