Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented SNF (Skilled Nursing Facility) Business Office Manager to lead the administrative and financial operations within our skilled nursing environment. This pivotal role combines leadership, operational oversight, and strategic planning to ensure the smooth functioning of the business office. You will be responsible for managing billing, collections, insurance claims, and compliance, all while fostering a positive environment that supports both staff and residents. Duties Oversee all aspects of billing processes, including Medicare, Medicaid, private pay, and third-party insurance claims to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement. Manage accounts receivable and collections activities to optimize cash flow and reduce outstanding balances. Supervise the business office team, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to promote efficiency and professional growth. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, payer policies, and facility procedures through regular audits and staff education. Collaborate with clinical staff and leadership to coordinate resident admissions, discharges, and financial counseling. Maintain accurate financial records, reports, and documentation for internal use and external audits. Foster excellent communication with residents' families, insurance companies, vendors, and regulatory agencies to promote transparency and trust. Experience Proven experience managing a healthcare business office within a skilled nursing or long-term care facility. Strong knowledge of billing procedures for Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and third-party payers. Familiarity with healthcare software systems such as electronic health records (EHR) and billing platforms. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and improve operational workflows. Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently. Knowledge of healthcare regulations related to billing, privacy (HIPAA), and compliance standards is highly desirable. $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
