Comprehensive Full-Time Benefits Package Tice Valley Post Acute is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Business Office Manager to oversee daily business office operations and support the overall success of our facility. This leadership role is essential in maintaining efficient office systems, supporting residents and families, and supervising business office staff in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Position Overview The Business Office Manager supports facility operations by managing business office systems, coordinating financial and administrative processes, and assisting with the supervision of office staff. This role works closely with the Administrator and interdisciplinary departments to ensure smooth daily operations and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Business Office Operations Obtain managed care and Medi-Cal/Medicaid authorizations, including bed hold approvals Assist with Medi-Cal/Medicaid applications and track redeterminations Maintain facility census records and report resident status changes Prepare TARS and other required documentation as needed Support billing and payment processes, including preparing bank deposits Assist with collection activities related to outstanding balances and bad debt accounts Manage resident trust fund processes, including printing and distributing monthly statements Staff Supervision & Leadership Assist with the supervision and management of business office staff Schedule and assign daily tasks to team members while monitoring workflow and productivity Provide guidance, coaching, and disciplinary action when appropriate Follow up on work results to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy Administrative Support Attend stand-up meetings and operational discussions as requested by the Administrator Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures Collaborate with facility leadership to support overall operational goals Qualifications Previous experience in a business office, healthcare administration, or skilled nursing setting preferred Knowledge of Medi-Cal/Medicaid processes, authorizations, billing, and collections preferred Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Supervisory or leadership experience preferred Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information professionally Proficiency with office systems and computer applications Full-Time Benefits Eligible full-time employees may receive: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) Retirement Plan Employee Recognition & Bonus Opportunities Ongoing Training and Career Development At Tice Valley Post Acute, we value dedicated professionals who help create a positive experience for residents, families, and staff.
