Job Description

Job Description and Company Info:
BrainCare is a growing boutique health services company providing support for individuals with acquired or traumatic brain injury, helping them relearn lost skills and grow towards independence and self-sufficiency through specialized living communities. We are looking for a dynamic and highly organized Office Manager / Bookkeeper to join our senior management team. In this multi-tasked position, you will perform bookkeeping, billing/payment, human resources and related administrative functions. You'll be at the heart of our operations, helping to ensure the company runs smoothly and efficiently. The successful applicant must possess the ability to work independently, perform multiple tasks, proficiency with QuickBooks/bookkeeping, a working knowledge of HR issues, and strong organizational skills.
Hours :
Full Time Exempt Position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with flexibility for team needs or special projects.
Salary :
$75,000 + per year depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities and Tasks:
Bookkeeping Duties :
Maintain records of financial transactions though QuickBooks by verifying, allocating and posting accounts; balance accounts by reconciling entries; maintain general ledger for presentation to outside CPA firm to prepare quarterly financials.
Medicaid Billing :
Gather Medicaid billing information and submit with State for reimbursement; prepare monthly reports by summarizing billing, adjustments and revenues received.
Purchasing and Payments :
Oversee purchasing activities across the company; pay bills/invoices (after appropriate approvals) and maintain in QuickBooks; confirm receipt of and maintain appropriate invoices for expenses.
Payroll :
Assist in payroll processing matters for submission to outside payroll company including maintaining payroll related reports.
Human Resources :
Assess employee recruitment needs; place ads as needed; screen and interview applicants; prepare and maintain human resources records and employee files; handle other human resources duties such as benefits and assisting in employee relations issues.
Participant Funds :
Maintain a running account of all transactions for program participant funds, and prepare monthly statements to itemize deductions, purchases made, money distributed to the participant, etc.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in using QuickBooks and Microsoft Office suite Knowledge of Accounting Rules Experience with Human Resources issues Knowledge of Medicaid billing procedures preferred (although can be learned) Analyzing Information and dealing with
Complexity Confidentiality Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred 4-7 years previous bookkeeping and office manager experience Attention to detail and ability to study data, analyze and determine trends, make hypotheses and draw conclusions Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks effectively Excellent verbal and written communication skills for fostering collaboration, resolving conflicts and building team morale Must have a valid Colorado Driver's License Maintains all required training and certifications Physical Demands /
