Job Description

Parkville Care Center is seeking a full-time Medicaid/Resident Trust Bookkeeper to join our Business Office. This role manages accounts receivable functions in compliance with facility policies and applicable long-term care regulations, with a focus on Medicaid billing and resident trust accounts. The Bookkeeper ensures accurate, timely resident billing and maintains strict confidentiality. Job Responsibilities Follow established policies and procedures for accounts receivable bookkeeping. Maintain, update, and monitor computer ledgers. Support the Business Office Manager with day-to-day office functions. Compile and update ancillary information by payor type, date, and service type. Prepare and submit Medicaid claims; monitor payments and follow up as needed. Reconcile accounts and prepare adjustments. Process the daily census accurately and in a timely manner. Follow-up timely on Medicaid applications/redeterminations to maintain eligibility. Manage and reconcile resident trust accounts daily. Qualifications & Skills Knowledge of skilled nursing facility Medicaid accounts receivable processes and resident trust workflows. Working knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel, PCC, and RFMS (experience preferred). Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across disciplines in a multicultural environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
