ABOUT SMA

architecture + interiors is a growing commercial architecture firm based in Lake Mary, Florida, with projects across the southeastern US, with offices in Florida and Georgia. We are a collaborative design production team of solution-minded architects that value organization, initiative, and accountability. As we continue to scale and grow, we are building an administrative and financial infrastructure to match, and we need an experienced leader to own it.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an Office & Finance Manager who can step into a senior administrative role and build with us. This is not a coordinator position, this is a leader/doer role. You will inherit an existing Office Administrator, set the standards for how this function operates and integrates with your own, and take full ownership of our HR, project accounting, and financial management processes. The right candidate has worked in an architecture or engineering environment, understands how a project-based firm bills and tracks work, and brings enough financial acumen to grow into a true business operations partner for the President. You will be trusted with significant autonomy - and held to a high standard in return. This role offers a defined growth path. As the firm continues to expand, this position is expected to expand with it. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with clients, vendors, consultants, and team members. Candidates should possess solid Administrative Assistance and Office Administration skills to manage schedules, records, office workflows, and internal coordination. Candidates should possess practical Accounting skills, including invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, expense tracking, and basic financial reporting. Candidates should possess proficiency with office software tools such as Microsoft Office, accounting software like Quickbooks, and AEC project management software (we use Monograph). Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced studio environment with autonomy. Relevant experience in a professional services setting; experience in an architecture, design, or engineering firm. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Office Management, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
