Job Description

Family Owned Funeral Group Position Summary The Office Administrator plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of our funeral home locations. This position ensures a smooth, organized, and professional environment for families, staff, and leadership. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, dependable, and able to represent Family Owned Funeral Group standard of compassion, efficiency, and service excellence. Key Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for families, visitors, and vendors with professionalism, empathy, and discretion Manage front‑office operations including phones, reception, mail, and general inquiries Support Funeral Directors and Managers with administrative tasks, scheduling, and documentation Maintain accurate records, case files, and compliance‑related documentation in accordance with Family Owned Funeral Group standards Assist with data entry, contract preparation, and updating internal systems Coordinate office supplies, inventory, and vendor orders to ensure readiness across the location Prepare correspondence, memos, and communication on behalf of management Support HR‑related tasks such as onboarding packets, personnel file maintenance, and interview scheduling Assist with service preparation tasks such as printing programs, organizing paperwork, and coordinating with staff Maintain a clean, organized, and professional office environment consistent with Family Owned Funeral Group branding and expectations Uphold confidentiality, regulatory compliance, and Family Owned Funeral Group operational procedures at all times Qualifications 5+ years of administrative or office support experience 5+ years of bookkeeping experience Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail Professional communication skills - written, verbal, and interpersonal Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general office technology Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Calm, polished demeanor when supporting grieving families Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast‑paced environment Preferred Skills Experience in a funeral home, healthcare, legal, or other regulated industry Familiarity with scheduling systems or case‑management platform We look forward to welcoming a team member who shares our commitment to service, compassion, and operational excellence.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
