River Towne Care and Rehabilitation Center, a Pyramid Healthcare facility, is in Columbus, GA. The Center provides long-term skilled nursing care and short-term post-acute rehabilitation, including a 30-bed ventilator unit. We are committed to the overall care of our residents through our culture, vision, and core values.
Hours:
8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Job Summary:
The business office assistant provides administrative and financial support to the business office. This role helps ensure accurate billing, resident account management, recordkeeping, and customer service for residents, families, vendors, and staff. The Business Office Assistant works closely with the Business Office Manager, admissions team, nursing staff, and insurance providers to maintain efficient office operations and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Job Duties:
Answering incoming calls Assist with general office administration duties including faxing, copying, scanning and filing Sort and distribute mail Manage and prioritize calendars, appointments and schedules Manage documents and reference materials Assist with resident billing of in-house residents and account receivables duties as assigned Ensure necessary billing forms are completed and signed by residents or family Make biweekly deposits Maintain the resident trust account daily duties a. need to ensure all withdrawal slips are signed and accounted for all withdrawals b. need to balance the trust petty cash box every Friday and send report to corporate AR personal c. Need to ensure resident balance sheet is updated and given to nurses by end of day for any withdrawals needed after hours d. Ensure monthly folders are maintained for all deposits and withdrawals for audit purposes e. deposit residents' personal money into RFMS and also assist with withdrawals
Qualifications:
Required Minimum Education High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited program Required Skills Ability to read, write, and speak the English language. Self-motivated with close attention to detail and follow-through Strong oral, written and presentation skills Ability to learn, adapt and grow within the position Exceptional software skills using Word, Excel and PowerPoint Ability to work under pressure and meet time deadlines Ability to solve problems and complete multiple tasks with minimal direction Trustworthy Basic computer skills to include data entry. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
