We are a growing convenience store (C-store) chain committed to delivering excellent customer service, efficient operations, and high-quality products. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Back Office Manager to support our daily operations and ensure smooth administrative and financial processes across our locations.
Position Summary:
The Back Office Manager plays a critical role in overseeing administrative, accounting, inventory, and reporting functions for multiple store locations. This position ensures operational accuracy, compliance, and efficiency behind the scenes, enabling store teams to focus on delivering great customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily back-office operations including data entry, reporting, and documentation Manage accounts payable/receivable, invoices, and vendor communications Reconcile sales, cash, and inventory reports across store locations Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate stock audits Prepare financial and operational reports for senior management Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Support payroll processing and employee record management Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors Coordinate with store managers to resolve discrepancies and operational issues
Qualifications:
Proven experience in back-office management, retail operations, or similar role Strong understanding of accounting principles and inventory management Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and retail management/POS systems Excellent organizational and multitasking skills High attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in convenience store or retail chain operations Familiarity with multi-location reporting and coordination Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field
