The Business Office Manager plays a critical role in maintaining accurate resident accounts, managing payor sources, and ensuring timely reimbursement. As a Business Office Manager, you will work closely with the Central Billing Office, residents, and families to support financial processes and compliance. Benefits May Include Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance 401(k) Paid Time Off (PTO) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Career Advancement Opportunities Supportive Team Environment Schedule and Employment Type Full-Time Days (8AM - 4:30PM) Key Responsibilities Manage resident accounts and business office operations as the Business Office Manager Handle collections and accounts receivable , ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding balances Coordinate billing and payment processes including Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and Private Pay Maintain and track Medicaid Pending cases and follow up for approval and reimbursement Manage resident trust accounts , including accurate tracking, deposits, and disbursements Work closely with the Central Billing Office to resolve claims, denials, and payment issues Maintain accurate financial records, census data, and required reports Assist residents and families with billing questions, statements, and financial documentation Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility financial policies and procedures Qualifications Prior experience in a Business Office Manager or healthcare billing role required Long-term care / skilled nursing experience required Strong knowledge of: Medicare Medicaid Managed Care and insurance billing Medicaid Pending processes Experience with collections and accounts receivable required Experience managing resident trust accounts preferred Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment If you are a Business Office Manager with strong experience in healthcare billing, collections, and payor systems, apply today to join the Northbrook Rehabilitation Centre team.
