Job Description
Basic Overview The Office Manager is a vital member of the ministry team at Mt. Calvary. In many ways, the church office is the "hub" of the congregation, and the office manager is responsible for a wide variety of tasks that keep ministry moving. This team member will work closely and collaboratively with the pastor(s), preschool director, and other elected officers to ensure vital functions of the congregation are carried out in a professional, proficient, yet personable manner. The basic job responsibilities will include office management and administration, requiring office skills and a willingness to go above and beyond in their personal investment to the position. Core Responsibilities Administrating the operations of the church office. Supporting the Pastor in administration activities of the church. Preparing and supporting communications of the church for review by ministry lay leaders/coordinators, as applicable. Supporting Preschool director with registration, communications, and other preschool related administration. Administrating church membership records and coordinate with the Financial Secretary on contribution related records. Typical Activities Create worship bulletins (Word) and corresponding worship slides (PowerPoint) Prepare the Worship Announcement Page and corresponding slides. Track worship attendance and contributions alongside the Financial Secretary. Maintain membership records. Maintain Fellowship Hall bulletin board. Prepare monthly calendar and Church Newsletter (Parish Pulse). Support preschool administration and communication activities. Oversee church office operations.
