Burns Harbor, IN Overview of Position:
The Office Administrator position encompasses a wide range of administrative and operational responsibilities designed to ensure the smooth functioning of office activities. In this role, the Office Administrator must have the ability to multitask and work closely with other departments while maintaining a professional attitude.
Primary Responsibilities:
Performs job related duties as required and assigned to support and meet business needs. Answers phones in a professional manner, directs calls, or assists callers. Files, orders office supplies, creates, and maintains spreadsheets containing customer data.
General office maintenance:
miscellaneous administrative duties as needed. Works closely with sales staff to gather information from the sales system and distribute it accordingly Maintains work area and equipment in a safe and clean condition at all times. Run customer invoices weekly and mail. Maintain customer invoice history and ticket files. Filing and maintaining employee records Runs weekly payroll Conducts semi-monthly billing Prepare and process all accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) Knowledge of MRP and accounting software, preferred. Acts as supporting backup for other admin positions.

Work Environment:
This job takes place in a Steel Mill setting, requiring a sense of high-level safety reverence using the required PPE for the environment. This job requires routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets
Physical Demand:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and listen in potentially noisy indoor environment. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk on both flat and uneven surfaces, sit, climb stairs, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED Valid Driver s License Willingness to work in a Steel Mill Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel ADP and SAP experience preferred

In person Compensation and Benefits Base pay $50,000 to $60,000 annually based on experience.
