We are currently seeking an Office Lead/Project Manager to help serve our connection of clients and community. This is a leadership role for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) who thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about building teams, delivering high-quality projects, and driving business growth. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with leadership, business development, and operational skills to successfully manage projects and lead a growing office. This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus! Your Primary Responsibilities will include Lead and grow the office, including team development and daily operations Manage civil engineering projects from planning through delivery (scope, schedule, budget, quality) Serve as primary client contact and build strong, long-term relationships Identify and pursue new business opportunities and support proposal development Lead and contribute to civil engineering design efforts, providing technical direction and hands-on involvement as needed Provide technical oversight and perform quality control on project deliverables Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards Mentor and develop staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture What you'll need Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required (Ohio preferred or ability to obtain) 8+ years of civil engineering experience, including project management Demonstrated leadership, team management, and client relationship skills Experience in business development and project delivery preferred Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution Strong understanding of civil engineering design, permitting, and construction processes Gonzalez Offers Competitive Benefits including: Competitive salary Major medical, dental and vision insurance Flexible Spending Account Health Savings Account 401K Bonus program Paid holidays and generous paid time off Professional development A team of creative and talented individuals to work alongside Gonzalez is a rapidly growing, dynamic, professional services firm specializing in civil engineering, construction management, and construction inspection.
