Job Description
Overview We are seeking a friendly daytime Part-Time Office Manager/Intake Specialist to join our mental healthcare team located in downtown Valparaiso, Indiana. This role is vital in assisting in day-to-day operations in managing the office, scheduling appointments, assisting in verifying patients insurance to determine copays as well as assisting in insurance billing while working alongside our additional office staff member. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, excellent organizational skills, and preferably a background in office management. A medical billing background is preferred, but not mandatory. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a compassionate mental healthcare environment. This position is 25-30 daytime hours per week working 3-4 days a week. Responsibilities Oversee daily office operations, including scheduling, patient intake, and administrative support to ensure seamless clinic functioning Scheduling patients and ensuring patients are off of the waitlist. Assist our main biller in verifying insurance copays, denials as well as insurance payments. Assist in collecting invoices. Assist in scheduling office building maintenance. Assist in payroll. Skills Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare practice management with a focus on office administration would be preferred, but not mandatory. We are willing to train the right person. Highly organized and ability to multi-task. Ability to provide quality customer service to patients-many that may be under distress. Proficiency in computer technology, such as Microsoft Office. We will train in our EHR. Join us if you're passionate about making a difference in mental healthcare!
