This role is central to our next phase of growth: we are transitioning away from QuickBooks toward a more robust enterprise system that will unify accounting, purchasing, payroll, and inventory control. We're looking for someone who has supported this kind of system transition before and can help us build the processes and infrastructure a larger organization needs. Responsibilities- Answer phones and manage front-office communications
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Handle purchasing, including vendor sourcing and ordering
- Support human resources functions (onboarding, benefits administration, personnel records, and policy compliance)
- Lead/Support implementation of an improved accounting system, including migration from QuickBooks to an ERP platform
- Assist with the design and implementation of an inventory control system Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an office manager
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, with a solid understanding of general ledger accounting
- Experience with ERP systems required; implementation or system-migration experience strongly preferred (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Odoo, Acumatica, or similar)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience processing payroll and familiarity with payroll tax compliance
- Working knowledge of basic HR practices and employment law compliance
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills
- Fearless initiative, willing to take on whatever need arises
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, team environment
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and discretion with confidential and financial information Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with inventory management or supply-chain software
- Experience in aviation or a similarly regulated industry a plus
- Experience supporting a company through a growth phase or a system/software transition and process improvement
- Notary public license a plus
