In this vital role, you will support the management of medical billing, coding, and revenue cycle processes to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations. Your expertise in medical coding, billing procedures, and medical records management will help optimize revenue flow while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment where accuracy, organization, and excellent communication are key drivers of success.
Responsibilities Medicaid and Billing:
Assist with Medicaid applications, redeterminations, and gathering documentation. Help with Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and HMO billing, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Resident Funds Management:
Manage resident trust funds, deposits, and withdrawals.
Cash Handling & Reporting:
Daily cash posting, banking, and reconciliation of accounts. Process accounts payable and assist with end-of-month procedures.
Family Liaison:
Meet with residents and families to discuss financial obligations and insurance coverage.
General Office Support:
Maintain census data in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, scanning, copying, ordering, reception duties as needed.
Experience desired:
Previous experience in a long-term care (LTC) and/or a facility business office setting.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of KS Medicaid, Medicare reimbursement, ICD-9/ICD-10, and
Point Click Care EHR, Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and high level of organization and accuracy.
Education:
