Full-time About Us Overland Park Respiratory & Rehab Center is a recently acquired and rebranded skilled nursing facility located in the Kansas City metropolitan area. We provide long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and higher-acuity clinical services in a resident-centered environment. We are adding to a strong team focused on quality care, operational excellence, staff support, and meaningful resident experiences. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Business Office Manager to oversee the facility's billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections and daily business office operations. This position reports directly to the Administrator and plays a central role in maintaining the financial health of the facility. The Business Office Manager will work closely with residents, families, admissions, department leaders and corporate support teams to ensure accurate billing, timely collections, regulatory compliance and effective financial communication. Key Responsibilities Direct the daily operations of the facility's business office. Manage resident billing, accounts receivable, collections, cash posting, deposits and payment arrangements. Ensure monthly billing is completed accurately and on time. Monitor accounts receivable aging and address unpaid, delayed or denied claims. Maintain accurate census, payer-source and resident financial information. Maintain working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed-care, private-insurance and private-pay billing requirements. Manage resident trust accounts and related financial documentation. Prepare and review monthly financial reports, collection reports and key performance indicators. Communicate account balances, coverage issues and payment expectations clearly and professionally with residents and responsible parties. Qualifications Experience in healthcare billing, accounts receivable, or business office preferred. Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care facility, hospital or related healthcare setting strongly preferred. Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, private insurance and private-pay billing. Experience managing collections, resident accounts and month-end billing processes. Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills. Schedule Full-time Primarily Monday through Friday during normal business hours with occasional extended hours.
