Job Description

Position Summary Jones Auction Company is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Office Administrator & Auction Clerk to support daily office operations and auction activities. This position plays a critical role in auction preparation, customer service, data management, invoice processing, and administrative support. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong computer and communication skills, and can efficiently manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Build and manage online auctions through the companys auction software platform. Upload item photos, descriptions, and auction information accurately and efficiently. Process invoices and payments using company systems and procedures. Assist with bookkeeping functions and data entry within QuickBooks. Provide exceptional customer service to buyers, sellers, and the general public. Answer phones, respond to emails, and assist customers with auction-related questions. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Support auction setup, execution, and post-auction administrative activities. Assist with marketing efforts, including social media content and auction promotions. Coordinate communications with buyers and sellers regarding auction schedules, payments, pickups, and other auction-related matters. Perform general office administration duties, filing, recordkeeping, and organization. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with computer operating systems and business software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with QuickBooks preferred. Ability to learn auction management software platforms, including BidWrangler. Strong data entry, typing, and computer navigation skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the workday. Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, with some Saturdays required (advance notice will be given).
