Rate of Pay:
$23.60 to $28.00 Hourly Valid Driver's License issued in the US is required. AAS/AA Degree, 5 years secretarial experience, OR a combination of education and experience is required. Experience with staff supervision required. Must have thorough knowledge of office practices and procedures. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and determine proper course of action. Knowledge of computer applications to include word processing, Excel and Microsoft Outlook is required. Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required. Ability to work independently and establish priorities is required Attention to detail and accuracy is required. Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved. Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation's Personnel Policies. Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks. Travel is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Normal Physical requirements. Supervise office staff and manage daily office operations, including maintaining a comprehensive calendar of application deadlines, reports, meetings, business engagements, and appointments. Prepare correspondence as needed. Type and distribute weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Manage all incoming and outgoing correspondence, determine items requiring a response, and coordinate all related activities. Answer telephone calls, provide appropriate information to callers, route calls to the correct staff, and take complete and accurate messages. Maintain adequate office supplies and place orders as necessary. Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, observe proper office etiquette, and maintain strict confidentiality. Prepare, track, pay all Purchase Orders and green sheets for the Fond Du lac Communications/Aaniin. Assist the Director in developing appropriate tracking systems for various projects both electronic and manual. Coordinate and manage all staff travel arrangements—including securing required approvals, preparing travel vouchers, advances, and itineraries—and reconcile all travel reports and reimbursement expenses. Track and record all local travel expense reports as well as all meeting expense reports. Develop and maintain all office related file systems both electronic and manual. Sends reminders and submits quarterly and annual reports. Some canvasing, parts delivery, and trouble shooting in the field. Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees, band members and/or clients. Appropriate work attire is required. Must attend all mandatory department trainings and meetings. Ensures confidentiality of all related records, including but not limited to financial, employee, band members and/or clients. Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems. Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers. Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community. Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies. Maintains a clean and organized work area. Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
