Job Description

This position is full time during the school year with flexible work schedule in the summer.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • General Work Standards Recognize when situations require more effort.
Satisfy responsibilities in a timely manner. Provide an example of punctuality and attendance. Generally, ensure all is ready and taken care of. Customer Relations Pleasantly greet visitors. Answer phones appropriately. Keep records of volunteer and student activity. Relay phone messages and voice mail messages in a timely manner. Distribute mail/send packages. Record absentees/phone parents. Monitor security at all entrances and the school elevator, including parent/visitor iPad check-in.
  • Financial matters Collect, record, and deposit tuition, fundraising and other payments.
Prepare and send fundraising statements to parents/guardians. Collect, record, and deposit fund-raising money. Coordinate fieldtrips by ordering buses and depositing money turned in to office. Pay bills after obtaining principal approval. Organize and keep ledger to record and track deposits and expenditures. Monitor TADS accounts for families for admissions and enrollment. Track hot lunch accounts for families on Boonli. Complete necessary documents for the School Nutrition program for MDS.
  • Written communications Copy and distribute materials requested by teachers and principal. Annually update handbooks, registration materials, Pre K packets, etc. Approve all written communications with the principal. Send parent communication emails as needed. (ex. School newsletter, etc.)
  • Registration Compile registration packets for Pre K-8 th Help with information dissemination, open house, Kindergarten Round-up, etc. Attend Back to School Nights/Open House as needed. Print PreK documents on TADS-physicals, licensing paperwork, etc. Submit immunization paperwork to the state.
  • Daily routines Record absentees and phone parents.
Tally daily lunch counts/reports. Manage records/time cards of substitutes Maintain substitute lists and call for substitutes when requested by principal. Complete hot lunch reports. Monitor report cards on Educate. Monitor the school elevator/school doors for safety of the students/staff. Assist with speech/special ed. Students by helping them log into their sessions.
