Position Summary The Office Manager serves as a key administrative leader, helping create a healthy, organized, and efficient work environment. This role oversees daily office operations, provides light bookkeeping support, supports Human Resources functions, and works closely with Lead Pastors and staff to ensure effective communication, organization, and execution of ministry priorities. This individual should be highly organized, relational, trustworthy, detail-oriented, and capable of handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Office hours will be Monday - Thursday. 24-26 hours per week. Office Administration Manage day-to-day office operations and administrative systems. Serve as a central point of communication for staff, ministry leaders, and vendors. Coordinate office supplies, equipment, maintenance, and vendor relationships. Oversee scheduling, meeting logistics, and administrative support for Lead Pastors and key staff. Assist with event planning, staff meetings, and organizational projects. Develop and maintain efficient office procedures and workflows. Human Resources Support employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes. Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with employment policies and procedures. Assist with benefits administration and employee communications. Coordinate hiring processes, including job postings, candidate communication, interview scheduling, and background checks. Support performance review processes and employee development initiatives. Serve as a trusted resource for staff questions related to policies, procedures, and employment matters. Help cultivate a positive and healthy staff culture. Bookkeeping & Financial Support Process invoices, reimbursements, and vendor payments. Assist with accounts payable and basic accounts receivable functions. Reconcile credit card statements and expense reports. Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems. Support budget tracking and reporting. Work closely with the finance team, CPA, or outsourced accounting partner to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. Executive & Staff Support Provide administrative support to Lead Pastors and executive leadership as needed. Assist in coordinating staff communication and organizational initiatives. Prepare reports, correspondence, and presentations. Handle confidential personnel and organizational information with discretion. Help ensure alignment and communication across departments. Qualifications Required 3+ years of experience in church office administration, human resources, bookkeeping, or a related field. Strong organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency with Quickbooks and common office software. Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity. Preferred Experience working in a nonprofit, ministry, or church environment. Familiarity with basic accounting and bookkeeping principles.
