Job Description

Bridgeway Senior Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented and resident-focused Resident Financial Services Coordinator to support financial operations across multiple long-term care facilities. This role serves as a key liaison between residents, families, internal departments, and external agencies to ensure accurate financial processing, regulatory compliance, and a smooth resident financial experience. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive financial intake meetings with residents and family members related to Medicaid eligibility and long-term care coverage. Guide residents and responsible parties through documentation requirements and ongoing financial responsibilities during the Medicaid application and approval process. Track and maintain Medicaid-approved and Medicaid-pending resident data using internal reporting tools. Prepare and distribute recurring Medicaid status and pending eligibility reports for leadership review. Coordinate resident income collection and facilitate enrollment in electronic payment and direct deposit systems. Act as the primary point of contact with county Boards of Social Services and other regulatory agencies. Request and review updated financial documentation from residents or responsible parties on an annual basis or as required. Process daily cash receipts and assist with accounts payable entries for assigned facilities. Provide support in reviewing expense documentation, payroll reports, and related financial records. Respond to resident, family, and employee inquiries regarding billing statements, trust balances, and payroll-related questions. Manage resident trust accounts in accordance with New Jersey state regulations and federal long-term care guidelines. Maintain accurate, confidential financial records in compliance with HIPAA and data privacy standards. Assist with internal audits, compliance reviews, and process improvement initiatives within the business office. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure financial processes align with resident care and operational goals. Compliance & Confidentiality Responsibility Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA, state, and federal confidentiality regulations by safeguarding all resident financial and personal health information. Properly store, access, and transmit sensitive data in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
