Box Office Manager

The Newton Theatre Box Office Manager / Ticketing (Part-Time) Newton, NJ $25-$30/hour | ~20 hours/week

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Newton Theatre is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented individual to manage day-to-day box office and ticketing operations. This is a hands-on position focused on building shows, selling tickets, and ensuring accurate box office operations, while providing excellent customer service to our patrons.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Build and manage events in ticketing software Sell tickets over the phone and assist customers with purchases Provide friendly, professional customer service to all patrons Schedule and oversee part-time box office staff Handle refunds and ticket exchanges Manage chargebacks and related issues Reconcile box office cash drawers at end of day Maintain accurate ticketing records and transactions HOURS Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Additional hours required on show nights as needed

REQUIREMENTS

Experience with ticketing systems preferred (ShowClix or similar) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Friendly, patient, and comfortable working with the public Strong communication skills Basic computer skills
