Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a professional, organized, and customer-focused Receptionist / Office Administrator to join our growing team. This role serves as the first point of contact for clients and visitors while supporting daily office operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a proactive, team-oriented approach. Key Responsibilities Serve as the front-line representative by greeting visitors and managing incoming calls Answer, screen, and route phone calls and front desk inquiries professionally Welcome clients and manage employee check-ins/check-outs Perform general administrative duties including data entry, filing, scanning, and mail distribution Maintain office supplies inventory and ensure front desk area is organized and presentable Prepare and assemble physical reports for mailing Assist with lab billing processes and credit card retrieval Provide administrative and project support to staff as needed Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times Qualifications & Requirements Positive, proactive, and "can-do" attitude Professional demeanor and strong customer service orientation Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong Excel skills preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities High level of attention to detail and accuracy Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in an administrative, receptionist, or office support role Experience in environmental, lab, or consulting environments is a plus Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health insurance Paid time off (vacation, sick time, holidays) Retirement plan options Additional Information Local candidates preferred; relocation assistance is not provided Veterans and service personnel are strongly encouraged to apply Candidates must submit a resume in PDF format Please include salary expectations (applications listing "negotiable" only may not be considered) About the Company Enviroscience Consultants is an environmental consulting firm specializing in asbestos, environmental remediation, lead-related services, indoor air quality (including New York State licensed mold inspections), subsurface investigations, construction inspection/testing services, occupational training, and industrial hygiene.
