Job Summary:
The SkiCNY Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily administrative operations of our customer service center at our ski resort. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Office Manager to enhance our guests' experience, ensure efficient office management, support resort staff and management, coordinate communications, maintain records, and assist with financial and human resources functions while delivering excellent customer service. This role will require you to manage an entire staff throughout the winter months, will involve assisting visitors with inquiries, facilitating ticket sales, providing information on ski conditions and services, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate office logistics during peak winter seasons. Support ticketing, season pass administration, and guest service initiatives. Process lift ticket sales, lessons and rental equipment transactions accurately. Maintain all Group Sales for current School Groups; help facilitate new sales. Greet and assist guests as they arrive at the ski area. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding lift tickets, rentals, lessons, and general ski area information. Provide recommendations for skiing trails, amenities, and local attractions. Resolve guest complaints and issues in a timely manner, ensuring a positive experience. Maintain knowledge of ski area operations, events, and promotions; participate in promotional activities and events as needed. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., ski school, rentals, cafe) to enhance guest services and their administrative needs. Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and orientation of seasonal and year-round employees. Maintain a weekly schedule for all office employees. Monitor inventory of office supplies and equipment. Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. Maintain confidentiality of employee and business information. Maintain employee records and personnel files.
Qualifications:
Skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Google Workspace. Experience with payroll, accounting, and scheduling software a plus. Strong customer service and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Enthusiasm for skiing or snowboarding is a plus. Experience 3+ years of office management, administrative, hospitality, or resort operations experience preferred. Experience in the ski, tourism, recreation, or hospitality industry is preferred. Education Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Recreation Management, or a related field preferred. Previous customer service experience, preferably in the hospitality or outdoor recreation industry is a plus.
