Job Description

Office Project Manager / Estimator Residential Design-Build | Central Ohio About the Role We are a growing residential design-build remodeling company in central Ohio seeking a detail-oriented Office Project Manager and Estimator to serve as the critical link between design and field operations. This is a newly created role built to support our continued growth — you'll play a central part in how we plan, document, and deliver every project. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on organization and precision, understands construction from the inside out, and takes pride in handing off a project that is truly ready to build. What You'll Do Pre-Construction & Estimating Review design drawings and project scopes to develop accurate, detailed cost estimates Collaborate with and assist designer to ensure drawings are complete, construction-ready, and buildable before field handoff Identify scope gaps, missing specifications, or drawing conflicts early in the process Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier bids; level bids for apples-to-apples comparison Maintain and update unit cost data and historical pricing for recurring project types Documentation & Project Setup Ensure every project has a complete project package prior to field start: drawings, specs, selections, subcontractor scopes, and permit documentation Create and maintain project files in our construction management software; verify that project data, budgets, and contract values are accurately entered Coordinate with the designer to confirm that all client selections are finalized and documented for internal pre-construction review, and then updated accordingly for final job folder Assist in developing project schedules in collaboration with the Field Project Manager Design-to-Field Bridge Attend design review meetings and provide constructability input Communicate drawing revisions and scope changes clearly between design and field teams Flag potential field issues from drawings before they become job site problems Support the Field Project Manager with RFIs, change order documentation, and updated drawings during construction What We're Looking For 3-6 years of experience in residential construction, remodeling, or a design-build environment Strong understanding of residential construction methods, sequencing, and trade scopes Experience with construction estimating — ability to read drawings and perform quantity takeoffs Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction project management software Chief Architect experience is a strong plus, or demonstrated proficiency in a comparable residential CAD platform Experience with JobTread or similar construction management software is a plus High attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without dropping details What This Role Is Not This is not a field role. $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
