Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Business Office Manager to lead the administrative and financial operations within a long-term care healthcare setting. This pivotal role combines expertise in office administration, and financial oversight to ensure smooth daily functions, compliance with healthcare regulations, and exceptional patient service. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for improving healthcare practice efficiency. Responsibilities Oversee all fiscal management activities, including budgeting, financial reporting, billing, and revenue cycle management. Supervise administrative staff, including medical administrative support personnel, ensuring effective team management and fostering a collaborative work environment. Manage medical records and electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accuracy, confidentiality (HIPAA compliance), and adherence to healthcare regulations. Coordinate with clinical teams to optimize patient management workflows using patient management software and EMR systems; support clinical documentation accuracy and compliance. Implement and monitor office policies related to health regulation policies, HIPAA compliance, and practice management standards to ensure operational excellence. Facilitate human resources functions including , performance evaluations, customer service standards. Maintain strong communication with healthcare providers regarding utilization management, managed care contracts, hospital or clinic experience requirements, and compliance protocols. Qualifications Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare practice management within long-term care settings. Strong background in fiscal management including budgeting, financial analysis, and revenue cycle processes. Extensive knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as PCC Familiarity with health regulation policies such as
HIPAA, JCAHO
standards, and compliance requirements for healthcare facilities. Prior experience in medical billing, medical records management, and understanding of medical terminology is highly desirable. Ability to handle complex administrative tasks while maintaining high levels of customer service; critical thinking skills are essential for problem-solving in fast-paced settings. Experience working within hospital or acute care environments is preferred; knowledge of managed care processes is a plus.
