DEFINITION
The Supervisor Front Office (1) develops departmental objectives and goals compatible with those of the hospital, (2) Is responsible for the quality of admissions services offered to patients, hospital staff, physicians and public, (3) is responsible for supervising the activities of the front office to meet the federal and state laws and JCAHO standards, (4) is responsible for a positive work climate, (5) supervises and coordinates activities of up to nine employees, (6) maintains effective working relationships with hospital personnel, physicians, and office staff, (7) recruits, evaluates, and terminates staff, (8) is responsible for adhering to budgetary parameters, (9) insures a continuing education process for all departmental employees, (10) monitors overall productivity and effectiveness of the department, and makes appropriate recommendations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Public relations experience. Up to two years in a hospital working environment is preferred. College is desirable.
