POSITION SUMMARY
Mon Valley Care Center is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Business Office Manager to direct daily financial and administrative operations. The ideal candidate will manage facility billing, accounts receivable, census processing, and resident trust funds while ensuring full compliance with state/federal regulations and corporate guidelines. This position acts as a key administrative liaison between facility leadership, corporate oversight, office staff, residents, and families.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Financial & Billing Operations:
Direct and oversee the processing of accounts receivable, billing adjustments, private pay, Medicaid/Medicare, and third-party agency billings.
Census & Payroll Processing:
Timely and accurately process census data and payroll information, transmitting reportable data to the Corporate Office within required deadlines.
Collections & Reporting:
Oversee accounts receivable collections for past-due resident accounts and provide regular, structured written status reports to the Administrator.
Resident Trust Funds:
Manage resident trust fund accounts with accuracy, maintaining confidentiality and proper accounting records.
Office Leadership & Supervision:
Supervise, train, organize, and evaluate business office personnel (including bookkeepers and receptionists). Delegate administrative responsibilities as needed to maintain smooth office operations.
Compliance & Safety:
Maintain knowledge of facility fire, safety, health, and disaster plans, as well as current SDS (Safety Data Sheets), actively contributing to a safe, compliant environment for residents and staff.
Customer Service:
Foster a compassionate, caring, and professional environment that respects the rights, dignity, and individual needs of all residents and family members.
Additional Duties:
Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned by the Administrator.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
Prior experience as a Business Office Manager or Senior Billing Specialist in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care setting is strongly preferred.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance billing, census processing, SNF payroll systems, and resident trust accounts.
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and proficient leadership/supervisory skills. #PRIMACARE123
