Office Manager New Castle, PA 1 DAYS AGO 22629962 Summary New Castle, PA In-Person $15.50 - $16.83 per Hour 2 Years Experience High school graduate or equivalency certificate (GED) No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description Organization Overview Forward Lawrence is a unified organization combining two non-profit entities, the Lawrence County Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Lawrence County Economic Development Corporation. Forward Lawrence leads coordinated community and economic development efforts throughout Lawrence County, PA with headquarters at 325 E. Washington Street in the City of New Castle. Position Summary Forward Lawrence is seeking an organized and professional Office Manager to support daily operations and ensure an efficient, welcoming office environment. This role is responsible for administrative coordination, basic financial support, and event assistance. This is an on-site, full time (40 hours/week) position. The ideal candidate is outgoing, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with strong communication and organizational skills. This individual should be comfortable managing multiple priorities and interacting with members, stakeholders, and the public. Some evening and occasional weekend availability is required. Key Responsibilities Office Administration
  • Manage daily office operations and administrative functions
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and inquiries
  • Maintain office supplies, equipment, and inventory
  • Coordinate with office cleaning and maintenance professionals
  • Retrieve and distribute mail
  • Provide general administrative support to staff and members Board & Organizational Support
  • Attend meetings and record accurate meeting minutes
  • Maintain organized records and documentation Financial & HR Support
  • Collaborate with the bookkeeper to: o Provide bank statements and financial documentation o Code and submit invoices and payments o Assist with year-end audits and financial reviews
  • Submit bi-weekly payroll information to the payroll service
  • Prepare and make bank deposits
  • Maintain financial and personnel records (e.g., PTO, benefits, retirement plans) Membership & Investor Relations (Support Role)
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the membership database (CRM system)
  • Support membership renewal invoicing and communications
  • Help coordinate and execute chamber events, programs, and presentations
  • Build relationships with members and stakeholders, communicate the value of chamber membership and programs, and support outreach to prospective members and partners Additional Responsibilities
  • Serve as a professional and welcoming representative of Forward Lawrence
  • Support organizational initiatives and special projects as needed

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in office administration, public relations, bookkeeping, human resources, or a related field
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders in a professional setting
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with office systems and CRM platforms (e.g., ChamberMaster preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (local travel required)
  • Ability to perform moderate physical activity (lifting of up to 45 pounds, bending, kneeling) Compensation & Benefits Forward Lawrence offers a competitive compensation package based on qualifications and experience with a starting hourly wage range of $15.
50 to $16.83/hour based on experience.
