Job Description
Job Overview The Church Administrative Manager will drive effective church operations by proactively providing the Chair of the Trustee Board the full range of high-level support in alignment with his/her role and responsibilities at St. Paul's Baptist Church. They will support the mission of the Church by proactively bringing to the Pastor and Trustee Board Chair, important matters and information which require their attention. They shall ensure ongoing communication and support of the Trustee Board Chair in addition to ensuring synchronized, efficient and effective church administrative operations which includes supervision and oversight of the Technical Church Administrative Secretary.

Interface with Pastor, Deacons, Trustees, other staff members, and church members ensuring seamless church operations. Assist Pastor as needed. Create church correspondence with appropriate approval prior to issuance. Create and post church-wide communication requested by the Pastor and/or chair of Deacon/Trustee Board. Support church projects in an efficient and effective manner. Supervision of the Technical Administrative Assistant, and Bookkeeper. Provide back-up support to the Bookkeeper. Drive staff recruitment activities in coordination with Trustees, as needed. Coordinate the scheduling of meetings/meeting rooms and use of church facilities. Ensure appropriate handling of church communication/correspondence. Ensure coverage of church office during standard operating hours including phone and contractor/vendor services. Work with Facilities Manager to ensure appropriate coverage for church events and activities. Support bid process administration and manage some vendor relationships depending on the type of vendor. Ensure submission of and sign-off on time reporting for payroll purposes for staff/contractors with the exception of the Senior Pastor - including oversight of time off tracking adherence. Effective, timely communication and follow-up with church members. Demonstrate continuous improvement by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes and implementing changes. Continue personal development by participating in job-related educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks. Adhere to and enforce employee manual policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. The duties listed are not all inclusive. Additional non-listed associated duties may be assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Minimum four years previous supervisory experience and effectiveness in a team environment Highly skilled experience with Microsoft Suite (i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Excel), web conferencing platforms (such as Zoom), calendar management tools and QuickBooks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to fulfill responsibilities. Ability to develop digital and print materials such as weekly church bulletins, slides for Sunday service and special events, newsleLers, and other correspondence. Previous experience with planning and coordinating meeting events and arrangements. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills in a constantly changing environment. Ability to promptly respond to requests and needs related to the Senior Pastor and the needs of the church. Strong project management skills with demonstrated attention to detail and follow up skills required. Demonstrate effective decision-making skills and good judgment in an environment where decisions have broad level impact. Experience working independently following through on activities. Knowledge and appropriate application of church protocol and practices. Ongoing passion for the upgrading of skills and capabilities. Ability to update events/communication on website and social media (such as Facebook, YouTube, etc.).Job Type:
