Job Description
Job Overview Blue Chair Counseling is a growing private mental health practice dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to our clients. We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Office Administrator to help keep our practice running smoothly while creating a welcoming experience for both clients and clinicians. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and thrives in an environment where organization, communication, and follow-through are highly valued. Because this is a part-time position, benefits (including health insurance and paid time off) are not provided. Schedule Part-time (approximately 15-20 hours per week) Primarily weekday morning/daytime hours Some flexibility in scheduling Responsibilities Answer phones, emails, and client inquiries professionally and compassionately Schedule and manage appointments Verify insurance benefits and assist with insurance-related administrative tasks Monitor clinician schedules and administrative deadlines Assist with client intake and onboarding Manage office supplies and maintain an organized office environment Complete assigned administrative projects accurately and on time Support practice owners with day-to-day operations Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Qualifications Previous administrative or medical office experience preferred Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication Comfortable learning new technology and software Ability to prioritize multiple tasks independently High attention to detail Reliable, dependable, and accountable Professional and compassionate demeanor Experience with electronic health records, insurance verification, or medical/behavioral health offices is a plus but not required. We are happy to train the right candidate who is organized, dependable, and eager to learn!
