Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an Office Administrator and Bookkeeper to join our small construction company. This vital role combines administrative oversight with some bookkeeping responsibilities, ensuring smooth daily operations and accurate financial management. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and possess a foundation in some bookkeeping principles, financial software, and office coordination. Your contributions will directly support overall company efficiency, empowering our team to deliver exceptional construction services. Duties Manage all aspects of office administration, including scheduling, correspondence, and document organization to keep operations running seamlessly. Handle bookkeeping tasks such as accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance using accounting software like QuickBooks etc Maintain detailed records specific to construction or small business environments. Conduct account reconciliation activities regularly to ensure accuracy in bank statements, accounts receivable/payable ledgers, and general ledger accounts. Support project management by tracking costs, invoicing clients, and paying business expenses Ensure all financial data is entered accurately into accounting systems while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Experience Proven experience as a bookkeeper or office administrator within a small business or construction environment. Strong familiarity with QuickBooks Desktop is a plus. Ability to perform account reconciliation tasks including bank reconciliation and general ledger balancing. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This is a flexible position for a person who would like the ability to work approx 2 or 3 days a week at the office and 2 days remote with flexible hours. Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
