Job Description

About AFC AFC helps eliminate homelessness through interfaith action. Through a network of 40 faith communities, we shelter 200 individuals every year, with 40% moving to permanent housing. We also distribute over 11,000 new socks and provide over 1500 hot showers annually. The hallmark of AFC's programs has always been community. The heart of our work is bridging the gap between volunteers and participants so that all find belonging and a meaningful life of their choosing. About the Role The Office Manager (OM) oversees the daily operations of office administration applying company procedures, policies, budgets, and resource allocations to the areas of staffing resources (HR), accounting, and facilities management. The OM reports to the Executive Director, and interacts with all levels of employees, managers, board members, and donors. The OM works primarily in the office, with the flexibility to do some tasks remotely, as agreed upon with their supervisor. Job Duties
    Full Charge Bookkeeping:
    including payroll, invoicing, collections, posting donations, paying bills, banking, working with ED/Treasurer/CPA, and tracking grants.
    • Maintain AFC's donor database, which includes posting donations, updating donor contact information, and running reports as needed.
    • Manage HR related tasks, such a maintaining HR files, new hire orientation, vacation and sick time tracking, keeping up with basic employment laws, and making recommendations for hiring and evaluating staff performance.
    • Oversee the physical office space, including ordering supplies, checking the mail, restocking donation bins, basic technology troubleshooting, and making recommendations on facilities needs and expenses.
    • Occasionally assist with fundraising activities, including mailings. Minimum Qualifications
    • 2 years' bookkeeping experience
    • QuickBooks Online
    • The ability to demonstrate discretion, especially with regard to donor information
    • and company operations.
    • Have a good understanding of the overall mission and operations of the organization.
    • The desire to foster an inclusive and welcoming community.

    A. is preferred as a demonstration of commitment, working with a variety of people, and having basic computer and communication skills.
    Pay:
    $30.00 per hour
