Job Description

Birmingham Friends Meeting Contracted Office Manager — Job Description Position Summary This is a year-round, part-time contracted position, beginning at 5-10 hours per week with the potential to expand to 15-20 hours per week based on demonstrated capability. The Office Manager provides administrative, technical, project management, and on-site support to a vibrant and active religious community. Working under the guidance of the Clerk — the administrative head of Birmingham Meeting — and in coordination with Meeting members, this independent contractor will handle routine administrative and technical support, scheduling, and communications, with opportunities to take on projects such as website maintenance and social media presence.
Compensation:
$23-25/hour, based on experience

Initial term of two years
Reporting:
Contractor will check in with the Clerk at least weekly Position Requirements Demonstrated ability to work independently Strong planning and time management skills Excellent attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Collaborative work style Experience with Zoom, PC maintenance, Microsoft Office, Google Documents, and other database programs Access to own transportation Availability for on-site presence approximately 5 hours per week, plus attendance at one Sunday morning meeting per month Example Regular Duties Retrieve voicemails and mail from PO Box; handle appropriately Create, electronically distribute, and print the weekly bulletin Monitor supplies at the Meetinghouse Electronically file financial information in support of the bookkeeper Store Meeting documents on SharePoint Deliver donations to local charities Check security of locks on the property Prepare Welcome Packets for new members Support committees with their projects Provide technical support to members for Zoom and mail listserv access
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
