Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Optometry Office Manager to lead the daily operations of our busy eye care practice. In this vital role, you will oversee administrative functions, manage staff, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and facilitate a seamless patient experience. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of office operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and administrative workflows to maximize efficiency and patient satisfaction Supervise clinical and administrative staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure team cohesion and high-quality service Oversee financial management tasks such as billing, coding, budgeting, and payroll processing using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA privacy rules, JCAHO accreditation standards, and state/federal health policy policies Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate medical records management and proper documentation within EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems Oversee medical billing processes and manage accounts receivable to optimize revenue cycle performance Implement and monitor clinic policies related to patient management software, managed care protocols, utilization management, and medical administrative support Experience Proven experience in medical office management within optometry or ophthalmology practices; dental office experience is a plus Strong background in healthcare practice management with expertise in fiscal management, budgeting, and financial oversight Demonstrated supervisory experience managing healthcare teams effectively in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with Microsoft Office suite for administrative tasks Knowledge of healthcare regulation policies including HIPAA compliance and JCAHO standards Prior experience handling medical billing, coding, and revenue cycle management in a clinical setting Acute care or managed care experience preferred; familiarity with medical terminology and medical records management is essential Join us to lead a vibrant team dedicated to delivering exceptional eye care!
