  • Oversee the functions of the business office including assisting with marketing functions, coordinate billing, accounts receivable and payable processing, and making bank deposits.
  • Process all billing and collection activities.
  • Ensure timely collection of A/R from all payer sources including collections process for untimely payments.
  • Analyze collections on a monthly basis and assess level of bad debt reserves, review and recommend write-offs.
  • Participate in planning and implementing strategies established for the efficient and effective operations.
  • Post ledgers, balance and reconcile accounts.
  • Ensure efficient operations and compliance with the financial goals established in the approved budget.
  • Assist in development of Operating and Capital Expenditure Budget.
  • Serve as principal telephone and office receptionist as necessary during business hours.
  • Maintain and safeguard the property of the company in accordance with accepted policies.
  • Assist with various departments as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Actively participate in marketing the services of all areas as requested and ensure achievement of goals established in the annual operating budget.
  • Promote a positive and efficient work atmosphere by assisting in establishing an organization, which has a formal system of accountability and clear chain of command.
  • Act professionally and honestly at all times.
  • Cooperate to the fullest extent possible with all municipal, county, state, and federal agencies, departments, bureaus and commissions which maintain or exercise any regulatory authority over the company.
  • Cooperate with all professional organizations, which have an interest in the company.
  • Participate in planning and implementing strategies established for the efficient and effective operation of the company.
  • Participate in all staff activities designed to develop teamwork, unity and promote morale.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in accounting or related field or two years of experience. Previous experience in business office operations preferred. Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with others.
