- Oversee the functions of the business office including assisting with marketing functions, coordinate billing, accounts receivable and payable processing, and making bank deposits.
- Process all billing and collection activities.
- Ensure timely collection of A/R from all payer sources including collections process for untimely payments.
- Analyze collections on a monthly basis and assess level of bad debt reserves, review and recommend write-offs.
- Participate in planning and implementing strategies established for the efficient and effective operations.
- Post ledgers, balance and reconcile accounts.
- Ensure efficient operations and compliance with the financial goals established in the approved budget.
- Assist in development of Operating and Capital Expenditure Budget.
- Serve as principal telephone and office receptionist as necessary during business hours.
- Maintain and safeguard the property of the company in accordance with accepted policies.
- Assist with various departments as assigned by the supervisor.
- Actively participate in marketing the services of all areas as requested and ensure achievement of goals established in the annual operating budget.
- Promote a positive and efficient work atmosphere by assisting in establishing an organization, which has a formal system of accountability and clear chain of command.
- Act professionally and honestly at all times.
- Cooperate to the fullest extent possible with all municipal, county, state, and federal agencies, departments, bureaus and commissions which maintain or exercise any regulatory authority over the company.
- Cooperate with all professional organizations, which have an interest in the company.
- Participate in planning and implementing strategies established for the efficient and effective operation of the company.
- Participate in all staff activities designed to develop teamwork, unity and promote morale.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in accounting or related field or two years of experience. Previous experience in business office operations preferred. Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with others.Job Type:
