This role is essential in ensuring the smooth functioning of front office administration while supporting classrooms and maintaining compliance with childcare regulations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating a welcoming and well-organized environment for children, families, and staff. This position plays a key role in communication, organization, and maintaining the operational flow of the school. Responsibilities Manage daily front office operations including greeting families, answering phones, responding to emails, and assisting parents with questions or concerns. Maintain accurate student records and files , including enrollment paperwork, health statements, and required licensing documentation. Monitor classroom ratios throughout the day and coordinate staffing support when needed to ensure compliance with state childcare regulations. Assist classrooms by coordinating potty breaks, diaper changes, and transitions when additional support is required. Support teachers and staff by helping maintain daily schedules and assisting with classroom needs when necessary. Maintain clear and consistent communication with families and staff regarding school updates, policies, schedules, and important announcements. Organize and maintain office systems, student records, and documentation to ensure compliance with licensing standards. Coordinate school events, parent meetings, and staff communication to support a positive school community. Assist with attendance tracking, student sign-in/out records, and general administrative duties. Maintain office supply inventory and ensure the front office environment remains organized, welcoming, and efficient Qualifications Previous experience in an administrative, front office, or childcare setting preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and professional phone etiquette. Ability to work in a fast-paced childcare environment while supporting staff and students. Knowledge of childcare licensing requirements and classroom ratios is a plus. Experience working in a school, Montessori environment, or early childhood setting is highly desirable. A positive attitude, flexibility, and a passion for supporting children, families, and educators.
Pay:
$14.00 - $19.00 per hour
