This vital role combines administrative expertise with healthcare management skills to ensure seamless clinic functioning, exceptional patient care, and compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will excel in managing teams, optimizing practice workflows, and maintaining financial health while fostering a positive environment for staff and patients alike. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of clinic operations, including patient scheduling, billing, coding, and medical records management using EMR/EHR systems (E Clinical Works). Supervise administrative staff, medical assistants, and other healthcare team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient service. Manage fiscal responsibilities including budgeting, financial management, medical billing, and ensuring revenue cycle integrity. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, healthcare policies, JCAHO standards, and state/federal health regulation policies to maintain accreditation and legal adherence. Coordinate human resources functions such as staffing, training, performance evaluations, and managing employee relations within the practice. Implement practice management strategies to improve patient management software utilization and optimize clinic efficiency. Maintain accurate medical records, ensure proper documentation of medical terminology, and oversee electronic health records (EHR) management to support clinical operations. Monitor clinic performance metrics, facilitate utilization management processes, and support managed care initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. Experience Proven experience in medical office management within orthopedic or specialty clinics preferred; strong background in healthcare practice management is essential. Demonstrated supervisory experience leading healthcare teams in fast-paced environments with a focus on customer service excellence. Extensive knowledge of medical administrative support functions including medical billing, coding (ICD/CPT), and medical records management. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems (E Clinical Works); experience with Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation purposes. Familiarity with healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance, JCAHO standards, health regulation policies, and utilization management practices. Acute care or critical care experience is a plus; understanding of managed care processes enhances effectiveness in this role. Strong managerial communication skills with the ability to motivate teams while maintaining a focus on quality patient care and operational efficiency.
